1. Core Privacy Principles
At SIH ONE, privacy is not an afterthought; it is an architectural foundation. We believe student hackathon participants should be able to explore ideas, rate problem statements, and organize team proposals without their intellectual property or personal data being monitored, tracked, or monetized.
2. Local-First Client Storage
When you use SIH ONE features—such as adding problem statements to your Shortlist, scoring statements with 1–5 star team votes, or creating side-by-side comparison matrices—all of this information is saved exclusively in your web browser’s localStorage on your local device.
- •Your votes and notes are never transmitted to our servers or external databases.
- •You can clear your team workspace at any time by clicking the "Clear" button in the Decision Room or clearing your browser cookies/site data.
3. Zero Tracking Cookies & No PII Collection
SIH ONE does not employ third-party advertising cookies, fingerprinting pixels, or invasive behavioral trackers. We do not require accounts, phone numbers, or email sign-ins to explore problem statements, use the AI team matchmaker, or download presentation templates.
4. Edge Infrastructure & Technical Logs
SIH ONE is hosted on globally distributed edge networks (Cloudflare Pages). When your browser or AI crawler requests a static page, standard anonymized HTTP request metadata (such as IP address, requested path, User-Agent, and HTTP response code) is processed temporarily by the CDN edge purely for DDoS defense, performance caching, and service uptime monitoring.
